FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Q: Where are On Track with Equus workshops held?
A: Workshops are held in a heated (in cold weather) horse arena. Workshops are scheduled in Montana and in other areas of the U.S. Please see the Workshop page of our website for scheduled workshops or contact On Track with Equus to schedule a workshop in your area.
Q: Do I have to have experience with horses to attend an On Track with Equus workshop?
A: No. It is not necessary to have any experience at all with horses. Participants typically range from no experience to extensive horse experience. The exercises are not about horsemanship, rather personal control, communication, and leadership.
Q: What should I bring to my workshop?
A: Please wear layers of comfortable clothing that you are not opposed to getting soiled. Temperatures can vary by climate, season, and facility, so you'll want to be prepared. You should also wear comfortable, durable shoes or boots. We will supply a workbook, paper, and pens. Most importantly, come with an open mind and a willingness to look deep into the mirror.
Q: Is there risk in attending an On Track with Equus workshop? A: We work to ensure a safe environment and experience for the participants as well as the horses. There is always some inherent risk in working with horses, just by the nature of their size and strength. However, the risk is minimized through safe practices and oversight by an experienced horseperson. Q: Is lunch provided at daylong workshops?
A: Lunch is typically provided at the workshop. You will be notified prior to your workshop how meals will be handled.
Q: Can corporate training workshops be customized?
A: Yes. On Track with Equus workshops can be customized to incorporate special requests based on your company's particular needs. |
