Linda Penn Johnson, MBA

Linda is the founder and owner of On Track with Equus. She serves as our primary workshop facilitator and leads all of the On Track with Equus workshops.

Linda has a unique combination of education, professional experience, life experience, and personal passion. She holds degrees in pre-engineering, psychology, and business management. Linda's professional experience includes over 20 years of management, leadership, and team development. Linda has combined her education, experience, a natural talent for coaching and training, a serious passion for helping people develop to their potential, and a love for horses to produce an exceptional equine facilitated learning program.

A life-long love for horses and absolute admiration and respect for the animals led to Linda's extensive studies of equine language (known as "equus") and behavior. There are so many stories of horses helping humans in unique and amazing ways, and Linda is touched by every one of them. The desire to better understand the horse and non-forceful, cooperative ways of training and interacting with horses led Linda to Monty Roberts' farm in California where she completed the Monty Roberts Introductory Training Course. Monty (pictured with Linda at right, second down) is a world-renowned horseman who pioneered the concept of non-violent horse training and discovered the horse's language.

Linda's own horses have taught her much about teamwork, cooperation, leadership, and authenticity. She strongly desires to share the experience of learning inner strength and leadership through horses, and developed On Track with Equus for this purpose. Having discovered her God-given purpose of equine-facilitated training in mid-life, Linda believes that she has been "On Track" and in preparation for this career her entire life.

Linda is described by associates and clients as gifted, professional, compassionate, and a truly unique individual with much to offer.
